You are so right. I almost admire the fortitude of the Fmembers who have survived so many abuses and still keep going back for more. I think it is sincere desire to be of service but years of conditioning have made them dependant on somebody else's description of what the truth is.

My only hope is that their private self is allowed to listen to their conscience, which really is the true channel to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and they can be led to the whole truth, the real Truth.

In any case, the person who wrote me had some valid concerns and good points to make I want to chew on and meditate about. I will answer those concerns and points accordingly but it may take some time. The most important thing to realize is that true Christianity is not necessarily expressed through communal living but is expressed by us in our daily personal walk and communication with our Creator through the Holy Spirit and by His Son. The idea of using as an intermediary a dead man who led stray so many is ridiculous and there is no back down from that position.

If nothing else, I hope these posts show that questioning even the most foundational elements of one's faith is important to spiritual growth. If that has not taken place, any so-called Christian is nothing but a spiritual babe. One must even ask the existance of God and taste if those things are not of Him. Accepting the food that some one else has chewed, and even digested is not what a mature Christian does. The Family system tries, and has tried almost from the outset, to prevent people to grow spiritually to that state of maturity. Discussing these issues and points are also important to maybe help many in the Family realize that they can also be free to think, make their own choices, know the truth and allow the truth to set them free.
