What really breaks my heart

Posted by Acheick on August 04, 2002 at 11:04:24:

Is the sad state of the kids in the F. My daughter and son-in-law just returned from visiting her dad. He has his children in a stranglehold. The report I get is that these children have no lives. All they do is sit around and take care of each other. They are given work books to do their schooling and no one helps them. Once a week or so, they sing at places and pay for their rent. That is the only outside activity they have other than playing tennis with their father for "get-out."

These children have no idea how to live outside of the F. and their father's influence. It will be very hard for them to ever carry on a life other than living in a F. home. That is what breaks my heart, they have no choice. This was another propelling issue for me in wanting to leave the F. I worried that the kids would be able to care for themselves if they never had the opportunity to go to school, get an education or learn social skills. Once all of Berg's prophecies came to naught and I saw that we were living much longer than he had told us, I started to worry. What if we are here several more generations and our kids have a chance to grow up and live lives, how will they do it if the F. suddenly dissolves? I had to be prepared for their sakes and I'm soooo glad I did and that I left.
