I think not much happens because many people are protective of their relationships with current family members. I know I would if I had some and would also be ambivalent as to how to approach that problem. It's a matter of what is more urgent to the individual. Some people may want to come out on the open and completely denouce in first person what they have witnessed or suffered while others would be less candid in an attempt to preserve some line of communication with their loved ones.
This is what is tough to overcome. It seems that a site like this can help with healing material. Also maybe some resources to aid memories and place individuals within places and time frames might be very helpful.
