The Family is not a monolithic entity

That idea is incorrect.

The Family IS a monolithic hierarchical organization even though it may use several legal entities, names and people to run each operation. People don't get hired or take employment by its individual operations. People are assigned or attached to operations to do certain jobs. They can go from one place to another but not freely.

The Family is not primarily a business institution but a cultic religious controlling organization with a history of abuse and oppression, particularly towards children. Their business fronts are just that, fronts used to access support or do the necessary business that needs to be done.

They normally hide their true doctrines from the public eye and have developed a particular double talk that is part of their culture so that there is an appearance of honesty and sincerity.
