Without revealing my source, I will tell you that having gotten it from this person, I was immediately convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that the letter was legitimate.
My ownly conversation with my source was regarding the copyright infringement aspect of the letter. When I showed the letter to my wife, however, she was very upset regarding the denial in the letter of certain things she had witnessed personally while a member of The Family.
I wasn't there, but one thing I am also convinced of beyond a shadow of a doubt was that the Family encouraged its members to engage in prostitution and child molestation. What has convinced me is the testimony of people I trust, including my wife and people who I have met as a result of being on these boards. Also the written evidence documented in original Family publications that I have personally read.
When I see the organization flat out deny that it ever happened, it definately makes me question the truth and accuracy of anything the organization might say.
