I found this on the Vatican website, here's a short excerpt from the "Final Communique" of the Meeting Between the Cardinals of the United States the 23-24 APRIL 2002: "His Holiness also stated, 'People need to know that there is no place in the priesthood and religious life for those who would harm the young.'"
