Im a child of immigrant parents. My grandparents never really learned English very well at all. They made the mistake of depending on my mother and she had to translate everything for them. Then, to get his license, my grandfather memorized the signs so he woulnd't have to learn to read. It must have been awfully hard for them. I understand that. However, when I do business on the phone or with a customer relations person, or whatever, it's extremely frustrating to try and talk to someone who really does not speak very good English. Either nothing gets accomplished or many things get misconstrued and mistakes get made. It's quite irritating. If you were in any other country, you would have to learn their language.
