I don't want sympathy

Nor do I need it. I do, however, want to know that the people I'm dealing with understand and can relate. You have claimed you do not relate. And apparently, you don't understand even though you yourself have been somewhat stupid yourself in joining up with Amway and the other cult like organization. This is an idea - but nothing even close to what we experienced. We were stupid, yes, but we were young. We are older and wiser now, but it still stands true that we were taken advantange of by people claiming to be our spiritual advisors who were hearing from God for us. We may have been stupid to believe that, but our advisors took advantage of a vulnerable segment of the population and abused us. Additionally, our thoughts and hearts were held captive by people claiming to represent God. This is a crime, IMO. This is the part I see you failing to understand. I don't think that's asking for sympathy, or pity, as I think you are thinking is being asked of you. Your statements put a dagger in the hearts of those already wounded. I fail to see how that is productive. You can keep your sympathy.
