It is not too late to become a helluva photographer!! I'd say GO FOR IT. Maybe write a story (or collaborate with someone that can) to go with the pictures. Then submit to different publications!! Why not? Maybe you could do that during your break (think about doing this, check out photography classes, etc.) There are lots of artisans that were squelched withing the family in favor of those with talents that were just not connected enough to the chains of command....
