Personal healing and justice

There are two parts to this, Jay: first of all a person has every right to use the legal system to stop and punish crime. That's common sense. Especially as many horrible crimes as the Family has committed. They've wrecked thousands of lives!

If you're a Christian and struggle with this remember Romans 13. The law is there for a reason. There is nothing unChristian about letting the law bring criminals to justice. You may not always get the full justice you seek. The criminal may get off or escape, so then you have to heal without seeing justice done. But wanting justice is not wrong. Read the Psalms.

The second part is you need to not only stop criminals and seek justice if that's what's needed, but as an individual you need healing. If the Family hasn't managed to destroy all your Christian faith, then yes, ask God to heal you as a person.

But you know what? A majority of SGAs have had their faith chewed up and destroyed. Go to Jule's "moving.on" board at movingon.org and read the stories there. The so-called missionary organization the Family destroyed their faith. They have real difficulty healing.

It's right and normal and sane to seek justice against an organization that has done as much evil as the Family has done.
