Nothing wrong with that - as in the case of my children, they weren't really abused per se and they managed to get a good education because I left early enough. So, for them, they just want to forget that they were raised in a "sex cult" - although the oldest likes to play around with that - "of course, you couldn't just join a cult, it had to be a sex cult." he's painfully sarcastic.
