I was there from early '70 - just before TSC and LA. I left in '78. I have to agree with many who wrote above - the 'good' that I remember was usually had to do with something outside the confines of the "colonies" - feeding the poor, getting kids off drugs... I saw "sharing" from early on - I worked with Rachel for a while at TSC when she was pregnant. In Toronto in 71 we (my husband and I) learned about all the sharing that was going on between married couples. There was so much focus on sex even then. When I left in 78 I was afraid for a long time that someone would try to come and take my kids away from me and I thought I was such a terrible backslider for taking God's little children away from His "chosen." AI got over all that. But as you can see - not a lot of good even in the "old" days.
