Go up to one of the head pastors at your local evangelical church and offer up a little criticism such as "How come none of the head pastors" ever go out witnessing and see how free in the spirit they are about that. Do it repeatedly over the course of a few months and you'll see how much they like criticism. Not much.
This is not a defense of the COG in any way shape or form but just an example of how leaders can all be the same no matter whether in a cult or not. Selfish and arrogant. Not all church leaders are selfish and arrogant but many are. Try it.But don't just accept their excuse for not witnessing. Hold them accountable according to the Word. Ouch. They won't like it at all. Of course the rank and file Christians will like it even less.
