I think in the way that we were a part of it and therefore we have to help each other and especially the young people who had no choice in the matter. I think it's our responsibility to a certain extent. At the same time, I sincerely believe we were victims too and that makes it doubly hard to come to terms with all of this. I agree with you wholeheartedly in what you state here. Who would have done 90 percent of the things they did had they never joined the F.? I never would have gone FFing, I never would have sexual relations with other people while married, I never would have allowed people to take my children away from me and put them in some other home. So many things we did out of fear or coercion or simple stupidity and ignorance. Once I left, I completely changed and reverted back to the person I was before I joined, with a completely different set of values. I think that says something.
