Here I go again, me and my big mouth

No, I wasn't saying YOU said that. Read Goth's response to me, she got what I meant. I'm just not very clear. You don't need to apologize for anything. One of these days, I should just keep my big mouth shut.

I do agree that we all hold some type of responsibility just for being in something long enough that we were a part of, regardless of whether we were coerced or were living in fear and trepidation, which most of us were. Some leaders left after being humiliated so many times, they couldn't take it anymore. It was easy for them to leave. They took their families and left because they were used to being the leaders. It's really a puzzle, Post R - remember Patty Hearst? So many people thought she deserved jail because she had a gun and she could have turned it on her abusers and left. To me, those people are clueless, they have no idea what it's like to be living in fear and having been so emotionally abused you think you are the scum of the earth and deserve nothing and you become dependent on your abusers. I always was on the side of Patty Hearst. I meet exmembers to this day who say, why didn't you just leave, I did? Everyone is different and everyone's story is different. I guess that's what I meant there are degrees of suckiness - we are all sinners, we all make mistakes, but there are some worse than others.
