Knowledge is power. The more people surround themselves with other activities that do not involve the F., the COG, the thought process, the Berg letters (other than to dismantle them and tear apart the lies and deception for one's own healing purposes) and even other F. members (and even some exmembers) who carry all that in everything they do and say (which is why it's dangerous to do that), the harder it will be to shed that talk, that walk, that way of thinking and living, and it can even be true for people who have left for a long time but still cling on to certain aspects of the F. or the dogmas that they thought helped them or think they are ok in and of themselves.

However, once one cuts all that off completely and starts fresh with new input, new and more complete information, then they can really come away from that experience and see it for what it is and start healing. The knowledge one gains from these new experiences and inputs can be like a complete make over and gives one power to overcome so much more. Educating oneself in many areas is like a new world opening up and sheds light on areas that have been darkened for way too long.
