That's what I'm talking about. Think about going to church also. I think that primed me too. I saw God as a little girl as this big enormous figure riding the clouds watching everything we did. Of course he was white with flowing grey hair (why that, of all things?) because I suppose older men have rule and are so wise and they have authority and God ruled over us with a big lightening rod. He was supposed to be scary, not even friendly and yet he loooved us. So big scary older men love us. And they watch, perched on their pedestal just waiting for the next mistake that they need to cruely give us a lesson about. There's the pump being primed. That's how I viewed God and that's why I could fall for Berg's portrayal of him and follow it for so long. Now i Have no idea what God is like. Well, maybe some guesstamations, but I will never presume or assume anything again.
