You are drawing us into a a personal gripe that doesn't belong on this board.

For the record, I have not been to the other board to read, do not need to in order to say what I am saying here, and I am not taking sides in anything. I will also state for the record that the person I believe you are referring to (assuming it is the same peson you have a gripe with) has explicitly asked that his site should not be categorized as an ex-member site. So you may have to rethink your criticism if he never claimed to be providing an ex-member site to start with.

Since you are new here and may not have read my posts below in this very same TOC regarding the same type of post you made, I am bringing some pointers to your attention and for your benefit.

Now to quote/paraphrase my post below titled "To Levatron Master":

"The [other] board has its place and purpose. We have a different mission statement. It's great that you enjoy using our site, and thanks for voicing that... Many [that post here] use the [other] board as well. Do kindly observe the guidelines by not bringing over the kind of attacks you love to hate onto this board."Now to quote/paraphrase my post below titled "No, Thanks!" :"Lastly, if people have preferences about which board they hang out at, it's fine. It's also OK to voice that preference, and even discuss their experiences and perspectives about other boards. But what we don't need is anybody crossing the line and using the genX board as a launching ground for attack on the other boards."

You may like it better here, and I'm glad you do. But may I ask you to observe what makes this board what it is, the direction and preferences we have, and to help us keep it the way it should be? As stated in the guidelines: "It is safe to assume that no member can come away from their COG experience without re-examining his/her belief system - there are just so many things to sort out. We recognize that many members once exiting the Family have naturally become hesitant about their faith - if they have any left to salvage. Many want to distance themselves from any talk of religion whatsoever. With this in mind, we wish to offer a place where eXers can discuss their ideas, hopes, despairs and aspirations freely and not feel compelled to relate everything religiously. We realize that for some, this is a very necessary and required space.

This discussion board is for those who are contemplating leaving the Family/Children of God, those who have left, and those with questions about the existence of abuses.

This is meant to be a place of discussion where ideas and debates are encouraged; a board primarily for intelligent discussions, intelligent social exchanges and polite debate.

...Hosted by Acheick, this board offers a friendly atmosphere... Please don’t make it personal... There is no need for personal attacks. If you have a specific problem with a poster, settle it outside of the forum. Threads of that nature will be deleted.

To sum it up. You are welcome here, but please keep your personal gripes, voting/rallying speeches off of this board.

Thanks. I hope you understand.

Take care,
