There's a good question: why would Eve get "alimony" when not a single other woman with children gets alimony from in-Family-ex-husbands? Well, there are a few now that come to mind, but that was ONLY established by court order or threat of court order.
I wouldn't be able to say if the money Eve receives is "hush money" or not, but you notice she hasn't spoken out whereas she does have plenty she could say before she dies.
On the other hand, Berg's sister, Virginia, WAS receiving money (a monthly stipend) from Berg, and as you'll remember, when she gave information to Deborah for her book, Berg publicly stated that that was it, she was cut off, no more money.
So maybe it's not hush money but the message is clear: speak out against the Family and the money stops.
