Mother Eve is 80 now. I don't know if she's on any kind of public assistance, but her kids send her help when they can, and Stephen and Adria do a lot to take care of her. She's frail, but still pretty active. She hosts a prayer and Bible study group in her little frame house (Stephen's boyhood home), built in the late '40's or early '50's.
