I think it is a good idea to fill in more of the history. In 1993, I didn't know anyone was against the fam. Didn't have or use internet either. I saw the fam. on front pages of the news doing the Argentine embassy thing, and the no longer children letters opening dialogue with the f. While some "good" was accomplished, the bad that came with that "good" is the threat hanging over your head for some of relatives being held hostage from you. If you behave "positively" you will get your stipend, family visits, whatever. That is no different imo than having the mafia holding a gun to your head, except I have much more respect for the mafia. At least they are who they say they are, and they lie to protect themselves and everyone knows it. For me, it made me feel so betrayed to be in contact with others who were out and then dialoguing shortly thereafter. I want my motto to be "Let fear never rule my life again" (at least for today that's my motto!! haha) The family are terrorists, imo.
