Barney's left coast attempt

to muster up the same fellowship meetings hit a brick wall when he came to the Left coast. Thank God. He tried though. He made a big effort to get people under some sort of united banner and do fellowships with each other, start some sort of big work. When I met him, all he wanted to do was talk about how big my home was and how many people could I house. I didn't have a big home like some, so I wasn't of enough interest to him. The whole thing was eerie though and I didn't care for his type of "fellowships" or any "fellowships" for that matter. who needs them and why? Only those who still haven't left the past behind or want to carry on working together with the F.

His uncertain character and ties to the F. were too unsettling for most (not all) left coasters and he fizzled out. I think that was a good thing. Someone, I think Goth, made a good point about not needing these exleaders to be in positions of authority again. They just need to get a career and stick with that, let the trained professionals take care of cult recovery. Barney has never come clean on what he is trying to accomplish and what his ties to the F. really mean. Then exmembers who questioned him were verbally beaten down so no one would question him anymore. I'm glad there's a place where things can be brought out into the open and discussed civily. Exmembers do not need to be kept back in that realm, they won't move on that way. They certainly don't need to be given Mo letters to pass out as some of these exleaders are known to do.
