threatening to beat him up? I know a man in the COG that was slapped by another man in the COG, he took it because he was being retrained. My husband was threatened by the same man(God only knows what sort of illusions were wandering through his head or sadist tendencys of this so called leader that made him think he could take my man on) my husband pulled himself up and stood before him and looked him in the eye and said 'try it'. The coward of course backed down and made little whimpering noises. Later praised my husband.(it made me sick because I knew how he had slapped this other guy into submission) Now before this guy I had never heard of any man slapping or hitting another, but it just goes to show, so much happened that never made the rounds. We were so condition against gossip.

My point is that the whole submission routine demoralised men (and women) to the point they would actually take physcial punishment from another male. Something this guy I knew would have never accepted. But being beaten down and told how out of it he was and out of God's will, made him willing to accept anything from the almighty leader.

I can understand how Jessie could still feel resentment. Having to screw in front of someone?! Come on that would have been extremely humiliating. Sorry Jessie you went through such hell.

Did anyone have to go through the open door policy? Where you had to keep your door open at all times even when making love? My husband never accepted that one either. He was always closing our door!lol(gulp, I married a rebel!lol)
