Seriously, this medium takes away visual and auditory clues that prevent people from getting the full benefit of a person-to-person contact. Some otherwise nice people find themselves in situations they would avoid in person. Both of you have brought up important and interesting points but let's have a little time off for now and come back renewed to construct something positive for all.
Let me remind you that this is a public space and while people don't always agree, respect to all is a condition for public citizenship that will benefit all.
