And it does appear that Berg tried at first to abide by these same rules (at least at the actual time that he wrote them) but soon gave up and went back to his former drinking ways arguing that he was 'special'. Even if the Family was now told to abide by these rules he could be the exception, like the quotes from Davidito posted above.
