I remember these rules. I also remember that the majority of drinkers that I knew in the f. in Europe, leaders and all, drank a lot. I drank 6-7 nights and some days a week. And that type of drinking started around the time of the first limiting letter. No one said anything about it because I brought in good money to the home from singing. And I drank every kind of liquor from red wines and white wines to Vodka on the rocks and Irish mist. There were many European alcoholics within the fam. that kept right on and it was ignored by leaders if you were productive. (or overlooked by leaders who also drank a lot.) I didn't have to pay much for it either because I would just get a bottle to start out (i.e. Port Wine or Vodka) and every place I sang people gave me drinks. I remember a regional leader going out with me one night (Germany) and we got all these schnapps and then went to a Yugoslavian restaurant where we were given those Yugo brandies that come in their own little bottles, about 15 each of them. He got so drunk he was saying that he hoped the district leader wouldn't backslide (seeing him so drunk) and we laughed. Nothing happened. And the leaders over Germany were in that home (in Bremen). The shepherd at our home would go into blackouts when I went out with him, or if he was at home. I actually got alcohol poisoning on at least one occasion. Glad I don't drink now and that I still have a liver left. But despite ALL that drinking, and the drinking of others, NONE of the drinkers I knew were molesting children. So that is an entirely separate issue. A true pedophile like Berg would not need to drink to molest. Drinking would exacerbate that though. But that sick f. made a doctrine out of it! He could cut out the alcohol, but not the molesting or FFing! Nope! And he could try to control (unsuccessfully) his drinking in latter years, but his molesting and pimping were all " of God " and carried on. This indicates a person of no conscience to me.
