In TF a lot of people can and still do have their own Kingdom.

On the Journeys board Acheick posted the following about her ex husband who is in TF:

"I think this guy has his own cult within a cult. He won't let his own children from his second wife go anywhere or do anything outside of his little domain he has created.... He has created his own cult where it's just his wife and kids and a couple of 'childcare' helpers who are basically their maids. All he does is lie around all day and feed off of the public and the kids do everything."

I had the following thoughts after reading that and I figured maybe my post fits better over here on exFam than over on Journeys.
That goes to show that the Charter doesn't work, S2K didn't work, Conviction vs Compromise didn't work. The pubs say one thing, but life at ground level is a different reality. F members can and do find ways to do things the way they want and the way it suits them. A lot people manage to get away with have their own "kingdom" set ups.

On the other hand I've heard that in some homes the atmosphere of suspicion has gotten worse than ever, especially since the "Pray,Obey,Prepare" GN came. More than ever members are encouraged to report on other "disobedient" members, so you don't know when someone may have reported on you. It's like persecution is going to hit both the 110% and the compromisers; but the compromisers have been promised that it's going to be a lot harder on them, so the ones who think they're 110% don't want any compromisers around when it happens.

Apparently one of the things that some people are suspected of is going to the ex member sites on the internet. That would be excommunicable... associating with the Vandari.
