What bothered about Berg's Salvation

Posted by Jesse H on November 17, 2002 at 10:18:39

For sake of arguments sake, I will not respond to any posts of whether you believe that we lose, have unconditional salvation or we can divorce ourselves from Jesus. There are arguments for all of these, most of them fruitless. I do not have time to write countless posts and responses.
What I have to say in this post has bothered me for years. A quote that I remember from DB and it even upset me when I was in the COG over 27 years ago. He quotes in several of his letters, " I never asked Jesus to come into my heart, I always knew him, even from my mother's womb." So,
DB is saying that he is (1) An immaculate conception (2)Jesus gives no choices (he comes into your life and heart without letting him in-What happened to Rev 3.20?)(3) He was deceived by his own ego and a big liar.
I, would like to hear your comments on this. Please, no endless arguments of eternal salvation or divorce (hmm, do you think since Jesus is married to us, we get half of the pie like in California, in a divorce settlement? Whose to judge in these matters, certainly not you or I)
Thank you for your comments.
Please pray for our sweet sister Jane and her husband. She is a wonderful sister who I love very much. It troubles me deeply to hear of her pain. Her husband is a great guy who I admire and has devoted a lot of hours to help these boards work.
