Could you have done it?

Imagine this scenario: One morning as you wake up to and get downstairs for devotions, your shepherd looks very somber, something is in the air. He stares into the distance and is hugging his children. They are all tearful. He says that he is happy and praises God conintually and has that usual glassy-eyed smile we used to think of as "lovelight." He was up early and read this new Moletter. The F. is being persecuted or perceived to be severely persecuted. It suffers a series of setbacks and losses, everything is hinging on Jesus' return by year XXXX, and the last 7 years are overdue. Everyone is saved anyway, and Berg is convinced nobody can effectively witness and survive and there is no point in continuing an earthly life. He says we can take control of our own lives/deaths and rob the Romans (police) of a victory. He asks everyone who has the faith for it to set themselves free. WS publishes a number of practical suggestions on how to kill yourself quickly and painlessly.

Seeing how brainwashed we all were (the controversy is about whether or not brain-washing took place is beside the point), if Berg had said it was time to set our selves free from our earthly bodies and go meet Jesus just like the Heaven's Gate cult did, was there ever a point in your life you would have done it?
