My thoughts exactly even though the tone might be too harsh but we all have our styles. I don't think people need to put others down to validate their views or feel better about themselves, but we know that some do. I post here (sort of regularly) and don't think that all pain and suffering in the family was the same for everybody, particularly children. Small children suffered consistent segregation and overwork. Adults consistently exercised unduly power over them and, in many cases, children were prevented from having a childhood. I am sure that as adults not many of those children can claim they had a happy childhood.

Some people do and did suffered horribly outside of the family too but it has not been my impression that the point of this board is to support those poor peole, as much as they may need support. Sadly, to put others down like a bully to elevate themselves does not help but hurts. The irony is that this kind of people normally don't have the empathy to recognize that they deny others the very same thing they want to obtain from them.

You do have some fine posts.
