Thanks for what you said Donny. I don't think any living breathing person is squeaky clean. But many times there were things that adults overlooked because to rebel was to cause further complications, potentially much more severe than whatever was occurring. That is a general statement. But, for example, I had my 1 yr old (oldest son when he was one) taken away to a school. I cried and pled to go to the school at least. I was dealt with severely for even asking. To leave the family then would have been to lose him. altogether in the family's international web.
That is one example. That is one thing I think
it helps to say to understand why sometimes we as adults seemed to look away or not do anything. And I do believe in taking responsibility for actions at some point. I have done that with my kids. What is probably happening for me is that while I support the SGA effort in many ways as far as how I feel about it, or digging up resources when or if I can, I think the anger needs to go directly at the individual perpetrators and especially at the top leadership. I for one, would HATE to be in Sara Davidito's shoes and have to deal with becoming what she became within the family and then dealing with all the fall out of that. Does that mean those who were abused shouldnt do whatever they want regarding that matter? That is NOT for me to decide. That is between the specific victims and the perpetrator. But I would very much like to see the family dismantled. I like the pamphlet Idea for those who can use it. I would think it would feel empowering and I also appreciate the products (Vandari, etc.)
