Donny, I actually agree with everything that you have posted just now. I think that what is happening for me is that i got out of the family and had to dive into survival and create a path for that. I put dealing with the family cult stuff on the shelf. Also a survival tactic. So when I came to this board it was in the hopes of supporting and being supported by others that got out and were dealing with that past. It is not easy diving into the board and seeing the newer nomenclature and abbreviations, and the deaths that have occurred and the fallout as far as the kids (now adults) goes. I am in a vulnerable place and don't mean to be unsupportive to anyone. Sometimes those boxes of pain stuffed away in the attic on dusty shelves of our minds just blow up on us and have to be sorted out. At some time or other. And I do agree that outside help is best for all when dealing with that. Inside dialogue can be helpful. Right now, it is very overwhelming. I guess when a wound is exposed and something feels like salt, and you never felt the salt in the wounds but now you do and it hurts like a mo-fo, then that pain gets expressed. If it comes across to some as bullying, that is not my intention. And I don't want to be seen that way because that is not how I feel inside. Never have.
