I apologize if I got your main issue sidetracked by yet another analogy. We did agree though on a few major points, one very important one being that the choices people make are individual and personal and that we ought to respect that. I agree with Ray (below) that we need not harass those who make choices different from our own and if I made people feel that way, it was not my intention and again I apologize. These discussions are healthy and productive and have become an integral part of my therapy. They broaden my perspective as I internalize the issues that surface and I gain a better understanding of myself with each one. You ask "are all human beings willing to understand themselves or even reality?" I say, those of us here apparently are. Self-awareness is the road less traveled. Going down there, you understand why. I am just so grateful that I am in great company.
