Just a little observation and I think you did not mean that.
You can get out of a bad marriage, (I have) and there are many things you can 'make' - However you cannot 'make' your sexual orientation.
I have a few close friends who have always been gay and for a time had to be closeted. We even know of gay people in the F who were forced to be closeted there. I don't think it is appropriate to lump that condition to others (bad situations like a bad marriage) that are subject to possible and needed changes.
