Now this is an interesting post! It puts Solomon in a whole new light. While I am not gay I certainly do not condemn Solomon for such tendencies. Yes, I also heard that he was gay before joining the Family. In fact that his outstanding creative abilities were because he was a repressed homosexual.

But to have even SGAs feel he was a "nice guy" stuns me. OK, we all know "nice guys" can do bad things, but this seems to put the incident where Solomon had sexual fondling with that young girl in context. He really did have no interest along those lines and basically only did so because he was ordered to. And since he expressed a feeling of revulsion afterwards, I think that shows where he was at.

I personally do not feel that he should be beaten to the ground over the incident where he and Rick were ordered to "share" with the young girls. His blame is that he lied in a depostion to cover it up and make Rick Dupuis look like a liar. And that he lied as a Family PR spokesperson, helping to call exmembers liars and to keep people in the cult. And that he has continued to give years of his life and creative talent to an abusive group.

I think if Solomon made a clean break with the Family, apologized on this board for lying in his depostion, that he would be readily accepted in the exer community and left alone. But his problem is that right now he's a front man in a terrible cult. He's the fly on the fan when the shit is about to hit the fan.

If he would just make a clean break and get out of the way he wouldn't have these problems. It's not that he's evil. But he's wearing the uniform of the enemy. An officer's uniform, no less.
