I made contact through the f. Over the years l had posted requests for info in f publications and directly whenever his mother and l had reason to deal with each other. I was always sweet and humble in my requests for fear of antagonising anyone. This time though l went on the offensive from day one and made it plain that l would do anything l legally could to meet him, l was also prepared to go on a media blitz, anything to get contact. The fact that my son was in his late teens also helped. When he was finally told about me it was a bolt from the blue and he was a little puzzled, a kind of why now thing, he had no idea that l had never given up on him.
I would urge anyone in a similar situation to assert their legal rights especially as the f are bracing themselves for "persecution". How can they claim innocence when there are hundreds, possibly thousands of people like myself who have been denied their legal rights.
