I would have appreciated that. I would have definately said no. I never dreamed he would post the message, especially after a telephone call and a follow-up email regarding the situation.
However, my understanding is, from reading what Sam has posted since, he has a very strict policy. This includes naming names, and has no regard for what stage an investigation might be in, or that the alleged victim is a minor.
Sam said in a public message at NDN:
"Outside of the rules of your web site and gerenrally speaking, whether or not I should talk about children abused at 15 that is my decision and my business and anybody that thinks that is wrong can sue me. The same with naming names. Once a person has been involved in sexual molestation of a child, he has forseken a lot of the rights he had prior to that, and mentioning the minors name is part of the process and part of the situation the pedophile created."
