I'm with you, Thinker. I feel so ashamed of having subscribed, unwittingly or not, to the craziness and selfishness of the policies of the family. Your examples were so true, and utterly devastating to the searcher in hope of finding some good in the family. The description: "cushy lifestyle pretending to be missionaries" is very appropriate. I wonder what the folks in their mid fifties are thinking, now that they are part of the problem, and not the "avant-garde" red hot radicals that they once were. It must be so discouraging for them, as it was for me to realize that it was mostly a sick sham, and the shit is too deep to wade in anymore.
