Well, I agree with much of what you say but I think the female/male dichotomy is not as weak as it may seem in this case because F was an extremely, extremely patriarchal 'society.' I don't have time this morning...but I could give you a long list of reasons why the male/female dichotomy was indeed the driving force of the group.
