What's love got to do with it?

I've been waiting with bated breath for two ex-brothers' response to the question on family-style love vs. reality-based love. It's a difficult subject I know but maybe some would be brave enough to respond. Any takers? Male or female will do. To rephrase: How do you reconcile the "Law of Love" with reality outside TF? Does having another exer as your wife/gf or husband/bf help you cope better with life now? Did it work for you with a non-exer? Or does it matter? I'll shut up after this, promise.
