You're saying what I'm saying. The U.S. previously had had a different perspective but chose rather to head other voices and go the way of diplomacy and not to harm their oppressors in WWI enough so as to destroy the whole infrastructure of the offending countries, regimes, etc. Then we were criticized for waiting so long, or ignoring if you will. Now, we appear, under Bush, to be heading back to the pre WWI perspective of taking care of matters BEFORE they are out of control, and still there are massive protests and accusations of being war-mongers. And besides, we've never been attacked by Korea or China, but we have by Muslim extremists and Sadaam has proven to be capable of doing such a thing and ready even.
