Siria has been told not to send night-vision equipment to Iraq (and the russians were also) but at this point nobody asks for proof or even needs it. Siria and Iran are doomed to the same fate because the new geopolitical situation will demand it.
Here are a couple of questions: if a country has weapons of mass destruction in their arsenal, wouldn't they also already have night vision equipment too? Also, if the sirians are sending them into Iraq, wouldn't they need to go all the way from the border to Bagdad and be intercepted?
