Unlike Britain, France, Spain, etc., that has occupied the countries they have invaded, such as S.E. Asia, Africa, etc., etc. Did you know that the U.S. liberated the Philippines from Spanish rule so that they could independence? This is one reason the Philippines is such a staunch supporter of the U.S., they have not forgotten this, as so many other nations have.
