I was wondering when this topic would come up. Am glad someone was brave enough to bring it up sans the raving and ranting. It is a difficult topic and I won't be surprised if there aren't many takers. You've brought up a of good points the crux being your acknowledgement and acceptance of your COG experience as an important part of your life.

Myself, it has taken me a good while to get past my anger, mostly directed at myself, and be able to calmly stand back and be circumspect about my cultic experience. It appears that you've accepted that part of your history as an important part of your evolution. That is what I am slowly coming to grips with at this time. I still cannot bring myself to remember happy memories (and yes, there were plenty, I'll acknowledge that much) without regret and without feeling resentful. I'm not ready to examine those feelings yet so I'm still not at peace with myself on that score. Am glad to meet someone who is (or at least is getting there). Perhaps you can tell me how you've come to that realization?
