I agree with Ethicist that it should be on an exmembers list. It does draw heavy parallels and I bet Kingsolver never realized just what she was doing as far as relating to cultic environments. I think that should show just how much what Berg came out of already was bent this way - it's so prevalent in Kingsolver's (was it the 50s) world. I also learned a lot about politics and what went on in Africa that I never quite knew.
