I guess I just felt that altho Trevor was Zerby's son -- or Techi's son as PD correctly pointed out below -- that the poor kid is an innocent victim. You asked, "Who the hell is Trevor?" and my feeling was that it was a little strong to use "hell" in association with a poor little kid.
Now, if you had asked, "Who in HELL does Peter Amsterdam think he is?" I'd have left "hell" just as is. I might even have given you a very colorful description of his burning hut on the Lake. Ever hear that old Family song, by the way, called "My Little Grass Shack in the Lake of Fire"?
