Berg started a major "soul-winning ministry"?

Let's examine this:

(1) I was reading in the Vol. 1 black book a while ago where around TSC time he knocked the churches for boasting about their witnessing stats and said to hell with that, ANYONE can win souls. The good thing about us is that we win fulltime disciples that live the truth.

(2) Later, souls were won by rank and file COG members who loved Jesus. That much is true. But the COG weren't the only ones doing it.

(3) Then about 1973 along comes "Shiners or Shamers?" and suddenly soul-winning STOPPED DEAD COLD for about TEN YEARS while people distributed "Who Shot Kennedy?" and the "Green Paper Pig" and "40 Days!" Berg said, "Shut up and let ME preach to them!" Yeah...........THAT was really preaching the Gospel. Not.

(4) Then along came Flirty fishing. Remember that? Not lots of soul winning there. Just lots of beds squeaking and girls lining up at doctor's offices to get checked for VD. Oh yeah....Berg said that "a beautiful woman is THE love of God to a man." Some souls get saved. Yeah, a few. "Hi, my name is Mary. That'll be $100 for the lay, and by the way, would you like to pray after me?"

(5) etc. etc. etc.

Sure, individual Family members won some souls, more in the early days than later, but did Berg start a major soul-winning ministry? I think not.
