CVC seems to be a great way for the Family to get away from having to send their kids to school or having to deal with a home-scholing situation. Getting school credits for reading their own junk is incredible to me. These kids should benefit from all the education system has to offer, not that I am a friend of the public education system. CVC may be a convinient way out to a difficult situation for the cult and a convinient solution to getting a high school diploma for someone in the Family but having thousands of COG children getting diplomas in this way
seems to be a very wrong thing in my humple opinion. A diploma is important but it is also important to have the knowledge. There are always cases of children who thrive in any educational environment, but I would say many of them coming out of the COG are severely handicaped as far as their ability goes to compete on the educational arena. There have been many posts by younger former Family members who are upset to found out they don't know anything. Even the apologists had to agree that the education the family kids were getting was poor. That was in 1993. Is it better know you thing, and if so why do you think it is better. I would appreciate you input on this. Sam Ajemian
