Your message seems to imply that fundamentalism is a trait of cults. I submit that the term has been hijacked by members of the news media and theological liberals.
The term has its roots in the word foundation, thus, a fundamentalist Christian is one who adhers to the basic foundation or fundamental principles of the Bible.
To imply that members of a pseudo Christian cult such as The Children of God, are fundamentalists is therefore incorrect. If the COG had truely adhered to the fundamental principles of the Bible, they would not have gotten involved in sexual perversion or occult activities.
