"I have admitted on several occasions that I made serious mistakes in that situation. Of course, nobody would know that, because according to the
search function on this website, I didn't post a single message in August, or September of 2002 when this situation transpired."

If you did indeed admit to mistakes in the whole affair, I apoplogize for my statement "There seems to have been mistakes made on all sides, but none will concede to that."

We don't remove posts very often nor indiscrimnately if that's what you're suggesting. We only remove them if there are strong reasons to do so. Offensive posts or posts with content that goes strongly against our policies, are "removed".

From time to time, someone will clutter up the board with nonsensical 1-liners and drown out sensible discussion (a method someone on your site used frequently, a while back). What we do with these is move them to the archives and out of the way, so the intelligent discussion is not impeded in any way.

All posts from that period mentioned regarding that subject were removed, many at your own request. We have a record of what posts are deleted, but it is not available to the public. When posts are deleted, they are removed from public view, but still kept for the record. As you mentioned once, the problem with deleting posts is the record of what was said is removed, and to everyone else who wasn't there reading at the time, pretty much nothing happened. This can make it hard to explain why someone has been banned, for example.

If you wish, I can count the no. of posts you wrote that were deleted, and even mail them to you, but not today when I am super busy, please.

"I never would have brought that up on my own. Sam poked at it in the top message of this thread, and attempted to rewrite history to make himself look better. Yet the solution here is to consider removing my message, while letting Sam's stay."

I did not mean to single out your post for deletion. I didn't catch this rewriting history part you mentioned in Sam's posts. In any case if he mentions names the way you did, about someone who cannot come here to speak for himself because he is banned, we will probably have to remove the post. To quote a friend of ours, "sometimes you don't catch them all." :-)
